Clarity has successfully completed a migration of the London Borough of Hackney's websites from an Obtree environment to the Open Text Web Content Management platform.
Clarity migrated over 5,000 pages in the main Hackney Council website during this project and recreated all previously utilised functionality. A separate Hackney Homes website was also migrated to the Open Text platform. Clarity completed this work using an automated migration tool, which provided a cost-effective and highly efficient approach.
The London Borough of Hackney has embarked on a new strategy for its web presence with a view to substantially raising the profile of the website and moving more of its basic services to web delivery. As part of this overall objective, this migration has been completed to support a programme of development around web 2.0 technologies, personalisation and multimedia. This migration shall also improve integration of the Web within the Council's underlying corporate document and records management system.
