Cambridge Fire Achieves Business Continuity Management Certification

November 2010

We are delighted to congratulate Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service on becoming the first UK fire service to achieve certification to the BS 25999 business continuity management standard.

This is a significant achievement, encompassing 50 sites that all maintain their own Business Continuity Plans, Operational Notes and Exercise Reports. Cambridge Fire were also the first UK fire service to achieve certification to the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management standard and this recent achievement further demonstrates their position as a leading fire and rescue service with a commitment to high integrity standards throughout their operations.

Cambridge Fire is a valued Clarity customer and they have recognised the substantial contribution that their document and records management system (EDRMS), which was supplied by Clarity, has made to their business continuity and information security arrangements. The EDRMS provides users with assured access to all pertinent documents and records, facilitates enterprise-wide collaboration and maintains a high level of confidence in the integrity of all stored records.
