Burnley Council has embarked on a project to use Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to improve internal collaboration and information management and they have appointed Clarity to implement and develop their supporting SharePoint strategy.
Clarity’s scope of supply includes initial requirements analysis and infrastructure review services, as a precursor to designing and implementing a new intranet, developing integration with the Council’s HR systems and implementing document and records management features for 2 Council areas; all based on standard SharePoint out-of-the-box features.
Clarity is using a highly collaborative approach to deliver this SharePoint project, with Clarity SharePoint Consultants working alongside Council personnel as members of a single integrated project delivery team. This approach is designed to facilitate effective skills transfer and ensure the Council can fully support and further develop their SharePoint environment using in-house resources following project completion.
