Working in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, Clarity has developed a solution to manage on-going assessments for staff and partners who drive minibuses and other vehicles on behalf of the council.
Hertfordshire County Council operates an assessment scheme for employees who drive minibuses and for partners who use the council’s insurance scheme for their drivers (e.g. schools and day centres). The council was struggling to use a legacy system, which did not support their requirements and, as a user of Clarity’s NDORS and Bikeability course management solutions, they asked us to develop a modern replacement solution that supports their current business needs and working practices.
Clarity’s new Driver Assessment System (DAS) provides all the functionality needed to record driver assessments, identify the need for ongoing assessments and send certificates to scheme participants. Our new DAS solution is also used to manage the application process for Section 19. permits, which must be allocated to every minibus used by the council and its partners.
Hertfordshire is delighted with the new DAS solution and the council is planning to extend use of the solution to manage a wider range of driver assessment activities.
